Woodgate Beach
Woodgate Beach is located on coast between Hervey Bay and Bagara. If you're driving to Woodgate Beach from the south of Queensland the the best approach is to travel along the Bruce Highway to the southern outskirts of Childers and then look for a well-sign posted road to the right that will take down to Woodgate Beach.
The road is called Goodwood Road.
If you're coming from the north of the state there is a back-road from Bundaberg that will take you there or you can drive down the Bruce Highway, through Childers and look for the road I mentioned above. If you're approaching from the north then the turn will be on your left.
Woodgate Beach is approximately 52km from Childers.
When you reach Woodgate Beach you will find one of the genuinely unspoiled beach side villages that are fast disappearing from the landscape. The developers have yet to arrive in Woodgate Beach and so it has a lot to offer anyone who really does want to get away from it all.
